Tips
- If you want, and are qualified, to deliver sessions for specialist second or third year subjects you should mention this in your preferences.
- New casual academics should be prepared to take on and should request 3 hours of paid work a week. This will include any preparation, delivery and marking.
- International students should ensure they have a visa that permits this type of casual employment before applying for casual academic work.
- Experienced casual academics can also apply for a lead casual academic position.
- If you are able and willing to be a casual academic in advanced courses, please indicate these in your preferences as well.
If you are shortlisted, you will be contacted and need to attend an interview. These are usually short (5 mins). Details of interview times will be shared within a week of the job ad closing. Please note limited opportunities are available in Semester 2 2026, if you are unsuccessful you are still encouraged to re-apply for Semester 1 2027.
