The University Librarian provides strategic leadership and management of the University Library, supporting and enhancing the University’s mission and its strategicobjectivesin research, learning, discovery, and engagement within an increasingly digital environment.This role alsoprovidesthe opportunityto oversee one of the largest collections in Australiawith 7,160 cultural and heritage collections,over 200,000 journals and more than 2.5 millionbooks.
In partnership with a team ofpassionate and collaborativeLibrary Directors, the University Librarian works with senior leadership across the University to develop, promote, and provide access to scholarly collections and resources, information research skills development programs, physical and virtual learning spaces, and scholarly communication initiatives across multiple sites, meeting individual campus and faculty needs.
