About This Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to advance their expertise and build an emerging research profile within their discipline. The role also provides opportunities to contribute to service and engagement activities, supporting the broader goals of the research team and University.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Research
Produce high-quality research outputs and contribute to competitive funding applications.
Collaborate on joint research projects and support translation of research, including commercialisation of UQ intellectual property.
Develop a coherent research program and emerging research profile, using best-practice methodologies.
2. Supervision and Researcher Development
Supervise Honours and HDR students and support researcher development through feedback, coaching and professional development.
Manage research support staff and address conflicts or grievances in line with University policies.
3. Citizenship and Service
Demonstrate UQ values through collaboration, leadership and contribution to internal activities, committees and administrative processes.
Support external engagement by developing relationships with industry, government, professional bodies and the community.
4. Other
Comply with University policies, legislation and the UQ Code of Conduct, including OH&S, sustainability and ESOS obligations.

About You
Completion or near completion of a PhD in the discipline area.
An emerging profile in research in the discipline area.
Evidence of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
Evidence of contributions towards successfully obtaining external research funding.
Some experience in meaningful internal service roles and contributions towards external activities
Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia.
You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply. Employer sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment.
