Overview:
RMIT’s College of Business and Law - Economics, Finance & Marketing School is seeking aMarketing Technology (MarTech) Lab Manager for a fixed-term period, with an underlying ongoing appointment as a LevelA or BAssociate/Lecturer (Education Focused).
The Lecturer (Education Focused) plays a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning across disciplines related to Marketing Technology. In this role, you will contribute to undergraduate, Masters, and Graduate Diploma programs, while continuing to develop your scholarly, research and/or professionalexpertise. You will also actively promote the program by building strong connections with academic, industry, and professional communities.
In addition, this position includes responsibility for the day-to-day management and support of theMarketing Technology Lab (MTL)as theMarTechLab Manager. The MTL is a purpose-built facility that supports teaching, research, and industry engagement, offering students and industry partners hands-on experience with emerging marketing technologies. Launching from July 2026, the Lab will be led by you and integrated into teaching from Semester 1 2027.
As theMarTechLab Manager, you will take a hands-on approach to both teaching and lab integration, delivering courses thatleveragethe Marketing Technology Lab to support applied, real-world learning. You will play a keypartin embeddingMarTechtools and practices into the curriculum, while contributing to lab-enabled research projects. We are seeking someone with a strong interest in Marketing Technology who is eager to learn and build their capability in this space, translating emerging knowledge into engaging teaching experiences for students.
As part of this, you will help ensure the Laboperatessmoothly and safely, providing technical, administrative, and stakeholder support. You will playan important rolein enabling innovative teaching practices, supporting applied research projects, andmaintainingstrong industry partnerships, while overseeing the setup and ongoing maintenance of the Lab’s technology and software environment.
To be successful in this position,you’llhave:
Demonstrated knowledge of marketing technology platforms and tools (e.g., CRM, analytics,MarTechstacks, AI-enabled platforms) and/or evidence of willingness to develop skills in these platforms.
Evidence of ability to motivate, inspire,supportand negotiate sensitivelywith,students from diverse backgrounds.
High-level interpersonal and communications skillsappropriate forinteracting with students, staff and building professional links with industry, together with a strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration.
