About This Opportunity
As a Student and Academic Administration Officer, you will deliver high-quality, student-facing service within the School of Education. This role provides advice, administrative support, and day-to-day problem-solving for students, academic staff, and professional colleagues.
You will work across a diverse range of student administration activities, including admissions, enrolments, assessments, electronic course profile updates, and event coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Core Student Administration
Provide timely and accurate advice to students and staff within relevant policies and procedures.
Process applications and documentation relating to admissions, enrolments, progression, and assessment.
Support academic administration tasks, including updating electronic course profiles.
Assist with reviewing and improving administrative processes and information resources.
General Administration & Engagement
Provide front-counter support as the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors to the School, delivering professional and timely assistance.
Provide secretarial support for meetings and committees.
Assist with student events, outreach activities, and engagement days.
Maintain office functions, including room bookings, mail, key custody, swipe access, consumables, and facilities requests.
Prepare and interpret reports from administrative systems.
Other duties as reasonably directed.

Comply with the University’s Code of Conduct, OH&S legislation, sustainability responsibilities, and ESOS Act requirements.
About You
An undergraduate degree in a relevant area, or equivalent experience and/or training.
Strong understanding of student or academic administration processes, or the ability to learn quickly.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service to diverse student cohorts.
Experience in university administration and familiarity with systems such as SI-net, CRM, Business Objects, or InPlace is desirable.
