This is a full-time fixed term position through to December 2028 with salary in the range $102,565 - $111,686 (HEW 7), plus a generous super allowance of up to 17%.

About This Opportunity
Join UQ to play a key role in fostering an inclusive learning environment that values diverse student perspectives. As the Senior Coordinator, Academic Success (Inclusive Learning), you will proactively identify and implement tailored strategies, empowering students with disabilities, medical conditions, or mental health experiences to build their academic skills and achieve their full potential with confidence and independence.
Key responsibilities will include:
Academic Skills Development and Intervention
Serve as a key contact for students on progression improvement plans and study interruptions. You will use innovative communication strategies to help students identify obstacles, set goals, and achieve academic success through targeted interventions.
Inclusive Learning Support Delivery
Deliver impactful learning support through a variety of formats, including group workshops, peer-led initiatives, and online materials. Crucially, you will apply inclusive pedagogical practices and strategies to enhance learning accessibility and outcomes for students with diverse needs.
Expert Consultation and Collaboration
Provide expert advice to team members and university staff on diverse learning needs, best practices, and assistive technologies. You will collaborate with faculties, the graduate school, and other units to integrate complementary learning services and resources.
Resource Development and Quality Assurance
Design inclusive, universally accessible learning resources and contribute to service innovation projects that support students with diverse learning needs. This includes managing administrative tasks, case management, and conducting program evaluations and reporting for quality assurance purposes.
Please note the position is an on campus role based at the UQ St Lucia campus and involves planned travel to our other UQ campuses like Herston and Gatton.
About You
Essential
Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., education, learning design) with at least four years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You have a sound understanding of the principles of inclusive education and the impacts of disability on learning at the tertiary level.
Demonstrated experience in providing evidence-based academic support to students with diverse learning needs, neurodivergence, or disability. This expertise should translate into practical strategies for student success.
Demonstrated experience in creating and delivering impactful academic skills workshops, tutorials, or online sessions to students from diverse backgrounds, ensuring high levels of engagement and learning accessibility.
Possess strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. You also demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to autonomously prioritise and manage your own workload.
Desirable
You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment, and may be required to complete background checks including, criminal history and education checks. Employer sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment.
