About This Opportunity
The Cloud Systems Administrator plays a key role in the support, administration and ongoing evolution of the University’s Human Capital Management Systems (HCMS) ecosystem. As the University continues to modernise its technology landscape and transition toward cloud-based platforms, this role will contribute to maintaining stable, secure and well-integrated systems that support core HR operations.
Working across business and technical teams, you will apply strong systems administration and technical troubleshooting skills to support and enhance enterprise platforms such as Aurion, Workday and UKG Pro. The role focuses on system configuration, integration support, operational stability and assisting with the transition of services toward modern cloud-based solutions.
You will contribute to improving system reliability, strengthening security practices and supporting the ongoing evolution of the University's HCMS environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Administer, monitor and maintain enterprise HR systems and supporting infrastructure within the HCMS ecosystem to ensure high availability, performance and reliability
Manage system configurations, environment settings, scheduled processes and system updates across platforms such as Workday, Aurion and UKG Pro
Support the transition of legacy or on-premise services toward cloud-based platforms and integrated solutions, working with internal teams and vendors
Monitor system health, investigate incidents and coordinate timely resolution of system issues to minimise operational disruption
Assist with system upgrades, patches and releases, including validation testing and post-release support
Maintain and improve system documentation, support procedures and operational runbooks
Work collaboratively with integration, security and business teams to support system changes, improvements and new initiatives
Contribute to continuous improvement activities that enhance system performance, security and operational efficiency.

About You
We are seeking a technically capable Systems Administrator who enjoys working with enterprise systems and supporting organisations as they modernise their technology environments. You will bring strong troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of system administration and an interest in cloud-based platforms and integrations.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Qualifications equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Systems or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and training
Demonstrated experience administering and supporting enterprise applications or ERP systems
Experience working with system configuration, integrations or middleware within complex environments
Technical knowledge of platforms or technologies such as SQL, Unix/Linux, scripting or similar enterprise technologies
Experience supporting system upgrades, releases or platform improvements
The ability to analyse technical issues and coordinate effective solutions
Strong written communication skills, including the ability to maintain clear technical documentation
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with business users, vendors and technical teams
The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes
