RMIT Vietnam is seeking a contingent worker for the Research Officer role. While the position is advertised by RMIT Vietnam, the successful candidate will be employed and managed by an external service provider, who will be responsible for the labour contract.

POSITION SUMMARY
Your role
The Research Officer will play a key role in supporting the project through research, data analysis, and preparation of reports and academic publications to inform project activities and outcomes. This role involves staying abreast of the latest trends in AI for education, and collaborating closely with project team members to support project activities.
Report to: Project Deputy Lead
Key Accountabilities
Conduct research on the latest trends in AI for education and provide periodic summaries.
Support development of surveys and other data collection methods.
Conduct data analysis, report writing, and preparation of academic papers for conferences/ journal publications to disseminate project outcomes and insights.
Collaborate with project members on relevant activities and provide support for key project events when requested.
Other duties as requested by the project deputy lead
Key Selection Criteria
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, social sciences, information technology, computer science or data science)
Demonstrated experience in conducting research, developing surveys, performing data analysis, and writing reports or academic papers.
Demonstrated ability to work with confidential information.
Demonstrated collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor information for diverse audiences.
Familiarity with AI tools and their applications in education is desirable.
Ability to display appropriate behaviours in line with the position and RMIT Values
