Overview:
Develop automated threat models, dynamic data fusion, risk estimation, and a digital cyber-twin testbed.
Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, the Research Fellow will work on the ARC Linkage project “An Intelligent Resilience Framework for Cyber-Physical Systems,” designing autonomous methods toidentify, prioritise, and explain cyber threats and risks in cyber-physical systems. The role involves developing automated threat models, dynamic data fusion and risk estimation techniques, and a digital cyber-twin testbed, with a strong focus on industry-relevant outcomes. The Research Fellow maybe requiredto work and/or be based at other campuses of the University as needed.
Industry Experience:Demonstratedindustry experience in managing, building, and testingcyber-physical systems (CPS),evidencedby involvement in several industry projects.
Technical Experience: Exposure to Go, Python,Javaor equivalent. Experience with microservices architecture and Kubernetes. Knowledge of AWS, Terraform, and other cloud technologies
Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills suitable for interacting with higher-degree research candidates, staff, and industry partners, coupled with a strong commitment to teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Research Experience: Proven research experience in cybersecurity,demonstratedby a few top-tier publications in the field. The candidate should have minimal publications in lower-rate conferences and journals, with preference given to A*-rated venues.
Research Track Record: An emergingtrack recordand recognition for quality research outputs in cybersecurity, including the development of new research initiatives, securing competitive research funding, andestablishingindustry links.
A PhD degree in Computer Science related field is desirable.
