Employment type – Ongoing, Full time
Hours - 12 hour shifts (Day/Night/weekend)
Salary – $84,658 - $92,701 per annum plus Superannuation, Annual Leave Loading and Shift Penalties
Grade - Clerk Grade 3/4

Your role
Contribute to high‑quality, culturally informed case management by engaging residents, supporting their active participation in programs, and ensuring all work aligns with relevant legislation and departmental policies—helping deliver stronger outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
What you’ll do
Key accountabilities
- Apply program policies and procedures to support reduced reoffending and successful community reintegration.
- Deliver end‑to‑end case management, including communication with residents, case reviews and accurate case notes.
- Maintain a safe environment for staff, residents and visitors.
- Support resident welfare through incident reporting and follow‑up.
- Coordinate daily schedules and duties with the Residential Program Supervisor.
- Carry out day‑to‑day operational tasks of the Centre.
- Assist program delivery by working with the multidisciplinary team, completing training and co‑facilitating skills programs.
- Build effective relationships with government and non‑government agencies.
- Strengthen partnerships with Aboriginal communities and key stakeholders to support program outcomes.

- Maintaining a respectful and culturally appropriate approach with residents, families and communities.
- Working collaboratively across disciplines to improve service delivery.
- Ensuring cultural safety while supporting both Aboriginal and non‑Aboriginal residents through ongoing cultural knowledge sharing.
What we’re looking for
Essential Requirements
- This is an Identified role and is open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons (see Notes below).
- Current NSW driver’s licence and LR licence, or willingness to obtain the LR licence within the first three months of employment.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Certificate in Community Services or equivalent experience in case management or human services (preferred).
Key knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of Aboriginal issues and a commitment to work effectively with Aboriginal colleagues, residents and communities.
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system.
- Ability to implement the policies and procedures that have been developed to foster the philosophies underpinning the program, which include reducing reoffending and community reintegration.
- Ability to implement all aspects of case management for residents, including the development of effective communication with residents, conducting case reviews, and completing sound and comprehensive case notes.
- Ability to contribute to the maintaining a safe working environment to ensure the safety of staff, residents and visitors.
- Ability to ensure that the welfare of residents is appropriately addressed at all times, including reporting and follow through on incidents
