About You
This role is for a program manager who has worked closely on government funded or publicly funded programs and understands what it takes to deliver them well. You will manage a portfolio of international initiatives across the APEC region, with a focus on services trade, structural reform and related policy priorities. Your work will involve designing and coordinating projects from start to finish, managing contracts and deliverables, tracking budgets, and ensuring reporting and governance requirements are met in line with funding expectations.
Day to day, you will work alongside government stakeholders and regional partners, support the design and delivery of activities such as workshops and policy dialogues, prepare briefings and reports, and keep multiple workstreams moving at once. This role suits someone who has been close to delivery in complex, government linked programs, is comfortable working within formal processes, and can adapt when priorities or timelines shift. You will bring structure, follow through and sound judgement to your work, with opportunities to contribute to new initiatives and support delivery through occasional international travel.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
Demonstrated experience delivering government funded or publicly funded programs, with a clear understanding of contractual, governance and reporting requirements.
Strong experience working closely with government stakeholders and delivery partners, with the ability to manage expectations, maintain momentum and respond effectively to changing priorities.
Experience operating in international, multilateral or cross jurisdictional environments, with an understanding of how policy driven programs are developed and delivered in practice.
Proven ability to manage complex projects end to end, including planning activities, coordinating delivery, monitoring budgets and milestones, and ensuring obligations are met across multiple workstreams.
Clear and practical communication skills, with experience preparing briefings, reports or updates for senior stakeholders and contributors.
Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
