About This Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated, energetic and organised Administration Assistant to provide a range of general and student and academic administrative support services within the School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry.
Located at the School’s Reception, the role is often the first point of contact for staff, students, visitors, and members of the public and responds to email, telephone and counter enquiries across several areas. Reporting to the School Manager this position is required to provide high quality customer service through the delivery of friendly, helpful, accurate, and informative advice and services to students, professional and academic staff.

About You
Candidates require effective administration, coordination and interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines and provide exemplary customer service.
Cert IV or Diploma level qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work as part of a team and to organise work flow to meet competing demands and deadlines.
Demonstrated skills in providing a high level of customer service, including effective interpersonal skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all work
Effective organisational, time management and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Knowledge of University student computer systems and packages e.g. Microsoft office, SI-net, Business Objects, and the use of CRM systems is desirable.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check.
